Disney American Idol
On February 7, 2008, The Walt Disney Company announced the development of a live attraction based on the #1 rated TV show American Idol that will be built at its Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The live attraction/show will be co-produced by 19 Entertainment(same as AI). This attraction is set to open at the end of 2008, park guests will be able to audition and possibly perform in a live show. Winners will be selected by a combination of audience vote and input from a panel of judges, although the exact format has yet to be decided. Winners each day will have the chance to audition for the real TV series. The may even have actual AI stars make appearances throughout the year and, of coarse, some fun merchandise designed by both American Idol’s and Disney’s product divisions especially for the attraction would be available for sale. (No way, dawg LOL!)
